SO I put a little work into relearning style sheets this week, and behold the result! Ok, so it's not setting any records or anything, but it is looking more like a website from the post-Clinton administrations. I added the Twitter feed (not that I've 'tweeted' anything to this point, but its a symbolic gesture, if nothing else...it's a symbolic gesture) and I've got some music files to upload, but I'm clearly focusing on the subjective asthetics (and ignoring spell check completely!) prior to actually adding any real value to the internet.
Stick with - there's more to come! BC
Well it's been 10 years of fiddleguru.net, and nary an update (until now!) for nearly half of those most recent years. That's changing. I seem to have left my Photoshop skills in one of my college off-campus apartments, but that shall not render me fully resigned. Working with a few new ideas that I think will become popular. One, is online tutorials in a new, condensed format that will allow players to commit anywhere from 30 seconds to 30 minutes reviewing materials. Combinations of music notation, audio files (and maybe video!) to increase the ease of attempting and learning the Irish fiddle.
We'll be connecting with you via Twitter, Facebook, RSS, and whatever means viable & necessary.
In the meantime, if yould like to contact me you can do so at brendan@fiddleguru.net. Check in again in the comming weeks!
Sincerely- Brendan Callahan
p.s. - this is *not* what the eventual site will look like, but its getting closer every day; its a template in Dreamweaver that allowed me to quickly remove the endless shades of dot-com-bubble blues and oranges that were the design for the old site. Stay tuned!
